AN INTERESTING 10-BORE BACK-ACTION PERCUSSION PISTOL SIGNED ADDENBROOK, no visible serial number, mid 19th Century, with 9 in. cut-down round barrel with Birmingham proof-marks, back-action lock engraved with border and floral design plus 'ADDENBROOK', dolphin hammer with floral engraving, floral engraved trigger-guard, the brass furniture probably recycled from a New Land Pattern flintlock pistol, captive rammer, closed crack at the wrist, appears to be a nicely made conversion of a sporting gun, H. Addenbrook of 55 Weaman Street is shown as a pistol and gunmaker in the Birmingham Street Directory of 1835, 15 in. overall
